"What do you think about starting a business together?"

Those were the words Ashley heard from Jason in 2015, while she was nine months pregnant with their third child.

What started as a conversation between husband and wife quickly became a leap of faith. When the thermal spray company Jason had helped lead for years closed its doors after more than six decades in business, they saw an opportunity to continue serving customers with the same craftsmanship and expertise, while building a company centered on something even greater: serving people.

Within a few months, they had signed a lease, secured a loan, welcomed six experienced team members, and opened the doors to what was then known as HB Coatings. In 2017, the company became HTS Coatings, a name that reflects both our commitment to Here To Serve and our mission that our coating solutions would enhance lives for the Glory of God.

Nearly a decade later, that same mission continues to guide every decision we make. We've grown from a small startup into a full-service thermal spray and component repair partner, offering nearly every major thermal spray process along with machining, grinding, welding, metallurgical testing, and engineering support—all under one roof.

But what we're most proud of isn't our equipment or our growth.

It's the people.

That's why we believe success isn't measured only by parts repaired or downtime avoided—it's measured by the lives we have the privilege to impact along the way.
